Look — this thing is new. It’s weird. It’s a little chaotic. Which means yeah, it might feel slow to start. That’s normal.

Most good ideas don’t come out the gate sprinting. They awkwardly shuffle forward while people ask, “Wait… what is this?”

So THANK YOU. For being early. For being curious. For backing something that’s still taking shape. I’m pushing this boulder up the hill one duck at a time. You being here? That’s what keeps the wheels turning.

HOW TO DEAL CARDS

You decide what people have to do to earn a card. Keep it simple, or make them jump through a flaming hoop. You’re the dealer.

Popular dealer ideas:

> Buy something
> Share a post + tag
> Leave a Google Review
> Complete a challenge
> Say a secret word
> Follow you on social
> Just be cool + ask nicely

Rule: One legit trade = one card.

You can change your trade at any point. It will just be published in 48 hours from submission. Just incase someone might be eyeballing your shit.

WHAT THE CARDS DO

When someone collects your card, it goes into their deck — which they’re building up by visiting other Totally Legit businesses.

The more cards they collect, the more prizes and chaos they unlock from “us”.

Some of them will hoard. Some will trade. Some will lose theirs in the car. All of them will be part of a shared experience you helped create.

BOOST THE HYPE

Want more people hunting your card? You’ve got options:

> Post a photo of the card on your socials
> Tell people how to earn it
> Spread the good work
> Link them to the game (totallylegit.co.nz)

I’ve realised that promoting 50+ businesses at once (with only me, myself and I) is a hard task.

So if you can, posting about it from your end would be super helpful! Once this lifts off, I reckon we’d be away!

TOKENS HAVE ARRIVED!

If someone has a token, it means they can trade (with you as per usual) to receive a card.

That’s all. Tokens allow anyone to play if they find one lurking in the real world. People with tokens still need to support your business to receive a card.

QUICK UPDATES

I’m building ‘The Database’ for all card dealers. This will be an online directory about you/your business. I just don’t want it to be another dumb directory no-one uses tho. So I’m thinking hard about how I can make this better in every way.

I’m planning on sending someone to go around and collect footage of your business that I can turn into content to promote your business + Totally Legit.

I’ve organised a ‘Grand Prize’ worth over $8,000 to get the wheels turning which I’ll launch next Friday! (Hopefully)

I’m reaching out to big companies to offer perks for specific card holders. Ie: Someone who holds 40+ cards can get discounts at certain locations. This one is hard (and annoying) but worth a shot!
